So Monday's episode of "Gossip Girl" will be kind of pointless then? Like the episode of "Gilmore Girls" where Jess went to California to find his dad and set the stage for a spin-off that never happened?
@JessaFields: nor do I, although I am occasionally fascinated by just how bad their parenting skills are. I would much rather a whole episode dedicated to the prom and the fallout from Serena's arrest.
the only production with the phrase "Valley Girl" found in it that should exist is the movie. It was perfect, and no TV show can match it, and I dread the inevitable phrase "Hayden Panattiere, Miley Cyrus, and a Jonas brother will be starring in the remake of....."
Listen. I could totally go into all the things wrong with this, but let's just face the truth. I know I am going to watch it. I know I don't care that I think the hair needs to be bigger and frizzier (or look more damaged). I am going to watch it! There is no point in attacking it. I will just feel bad about myself later for it...
So sad that they can't get the fashions right. The clothes look ok, but to truly make it look like the 80s, the people on this show are going to have to surrender some of their vanity. I will be watching this show to see how it goes. (We kinda know how it ends...)

@emilyanne: Me, neither. I actually don't really care about Lily and Rufus in general.
