Britney had her nervous breakdown phase at the same age I had my nervous breakdown phase and it...my heart just goes out to her. I may have to go to the show (despite my lack of money) just for survivor-of-fucked-up-shit-solidarity....

hey! I was at that 2001 Dream Within a Dream Fleet Center concert in Boston with my best friend when I was fourteen or fifteen and it was AMAZING. It was confusing for me because I had just entered my "punk" stage and enjoyed scoffing at popular music, but I couldn't give up on my love for Britney. I was too cool to cheer and scream my head off, but I did clap politely, though not at opening act LFO. They just sucked.

@Lazy Line Painter Jane: Rich Cronin apparently has a really depressing blog now. I read it once and he wrote something like "I used to be friends with Justin Timberlake." He was always my fave boy bander besides Trevor from Soul Decision.

IT'S HORTENSE, BITCH.

Brit is going to be 2 hours from me in April, but I just couldn't justify the cost (tickets, transportation, overnight stay somewhere 'cos Sr. Zinha ain't gonna want to drive back that late). I was less bummed by this when I saw that she wasn't singing anything live, but you have a point--part of the charm is the spectacle, not Britney's voice.

I should have gone when she was in Miami, but I thought it better to save my monies while on Spring break. The show was awesome from all accounts, though.

And then I read she went shopping at THE VERY SAME MALL my mom had been at the day before. How crazy! My mom could have had an Actual Britney Sighting.

For some crazy reason, I was listening to KISS 108 on the way home from work on Monday and the DJ was giving away tickets to the Britney show if the girls allowed him to SHAVE THEIR HEADS. I know I shouldn't expect a lot from Top 40 Radio, but it seriously pissed me off.

Going to see Britney Spears for her vocal skills is like going to see a podiatrist to get your teeth fixed.

I think if Britney's going to continue performing, she just needs to embrace the camp even further and take over from Celine Dion in Vegas.
