    Also, this song reminds me of my senior year in high school. We all had to go to this presentation about the dangers of drugs that this drama troupe put on. I think they were a drama club? Anyways, they acted out some skit and basically smoking pot leads to shooting heroin. And then they did a hugely dramatic number to this song. And the girl sang this song and pretend to shoot up heroin in some crack den while these dudes abused her. And they lifted her in the air, and then she would fall to the ground and shriek and scream 'I JUST WANT MORE DRUGS!'.


    My teacher kicked me and my friends out for laughing. This was 4 years ago.

    @The HZA. [member of the zombie nation]: At the orientation I had to go to for Mason in July, they basically did the same exact thing to for drug counseling or whatever. For some odd reason, I was the only one laughing.

    A friend and I play this blood-for-love game, in which we substitute the word blood for the word love in popular songs, and this song is undoubtedly the best.

    @misspell: My husband does the same thing, but substitutes "squirrel" for "girl". Example:


    "I wish that I had Jessie's squirrel! You know I want Jessie's squirrel!"


    "I wish they all could be California squirrels"


    "Tall and tan and young and lovely, the squirrel from Ipanema goes walkin'..."

    I'm sort of happy I missed the news today because I was drinking and enjoying calamares on the beach. Even now, I have a ginormous buzz, so nothing's really sinking in.

    My "Say yes to choice" FB group feels a bit... empty though.
