    This is why Jackson was in pain. I don't think the man had one authentic person involved in his life other than his children, which he basically bought.


    I understand the man might have done some bad things in his life, but I am fairly certain that the level of crazy he lived his life in eradicated any true human interaction a long long time ago. Sadly, MJ will be remembered as a musical and entertaining genius, and a possible pedophile. But no one has ever attempted to throw his parents in jail or anyone around him for the 20 years of mental and physical abuse that made him who he was. And artists, producers and others who were witnesses to that pain should be ashamed.

    Of course I want to know how Jackson tied, but I feel bad that the public has a "right" to know. In death, like in life, we feel ownership over all the details about the man. I would hate to think as I lay dying from something embarrassing or tragic, that all the facts would be splashed across serious news sites and tabloids across the globe.

    I'm trying REALLY HARD not to use the douchebags like Oxman in any of my newscasts.


    Because I have to mention it, I'm saying there were allegations of Jackson abusing prescription drugs. But I'm trying not to give this guy any more airtime than he's already got.


    Maybe that makes me a bad jouralists. I'm supposed to just grab the story and run, and fuck everyone else. But I've never done that. Even when working in a mid-size city -- I would work with cops and hold stuff if they told me it would interfere with an investgation. That actually me a decent relationshipw with da boys, and the firefighters.


    My point is, there's way too much of it's scandalous! Put it on the air! Without thinking about the speaker's motive.


    Which is why I'm getting the fuck out of news.

    But ethical journalists don't just run and fuck everything else. It sounds like you are one of the ethical ones, which is why I'm sad you're getting out of the biz. We need more journalists who stop and think about the impact of their work before it goes on the air or on the Web or in the paper.

    I imagine he might be trying to distance himself from the situation. He probably assumes the autopsy will indicate that drugs were involved in some way, and if he preemptively comes out and says that everyone else was an enabler, then he cannot be accused of it himself.

    They know a lot of info is coming out from the autopsy. If they acknowledge it now, then they won't seem like they were being "as" dishonest or whatever. "Yeah, we knew he has a problem, we were..trying to help or something"
