This is foul. Every time I turn around somebody is "joking" about this beautiful child secretly harboring a violent tendencies. How many times do people have to repeat that Zahara will slap a bitch? Really? I mean, really?

When I see her I see a little girl. She hasn't spoken so I don't get sassy. She's been coddled most of her life so I can't imagine where the badass would come from. And "bitch, please?" Come on now. Gang signs? Give it a rest.

@SPF847: I agree. The title is bothersome. And in other "publications," when you see a photo of Suri looking solemn, it's because she's "lonely" and "secluded," not because she's a tough gangster.

Actually, rather than writing better captions, these pubs/sites should stop running pap pictures of the kids and turning them into the next Peaches Geldoff.

@VagPirate: I don't know, I kind of see Suri Cruise and Zahara as having the same badassitude that my little sister had at that age. It might just be a toddler thing, or maybe its just how they photograph, but there is something obstinate about them that you have to love; especially when they are constantly exposed to paparazzi. It's refreshing, perhaps?

And yes, I know that we are talking about children here, but I am so very clucky at times, and can only hope that future-me can have a child as gosh-darn cute as Zahara or Suri (Shiloh is cute and all, but not as fun looking).

@Vivien Smith-Smythe-Smith: The point is, in my opinion, the language we use to describe the white little girl (Suri) vs. the language we use to describe the black little girl (Zahara). Gang-signs? Bish plz? I can say with certainty that I've never seen anybody refer to Suri using such racially coded and insensitive language.

Questioning these instances is important because it furthers our discussions of, not only children and fame, but stereotypes of sex, gender and race.

@sweaterqueen resents the implication: Coming from a different cultural background, I often don't immediately see or understand the racial connotations in a lot of American culture, but I do see where you're coming from, and I think that you have a valid point. I am not sure that I know how I feel about the references to gang signs, nor about talking about toddlers as though they were adults, but I must say that I thought Suri was commonly referred to as being all 'bish, plz', especially after that photo of her 'flipping the bird'?
