    Yeah, it's actually a serious issue - the safety of water bottles. It's gotten little coverage in the USA but in Canada it's been shown to be a real issue. It's not about aggressive young girls = bad. It is about things like unwanted behavioral changes from chemicals = bad and unwanted fertility issues from chemicals = bad.

    I know this was meant as a jokey post, but it's a serious issue that gets little press in the USA so I thought I'd use it to put a bit of info out there.

    I buy bottle water each time I visit my in-laws. They have a Britta that has the same filter for about like 5 years...
    We got them a new filter but they refuse to change it or they forget, I don't know. The sink water is just gross (this is Peoria). Since one aluminum bottle won't last a long weekend, I buy water bottle. Also, they don't drink alcohol, so I need something to drink.

    Drinking a whole bunch of water as a beauty secret is a myth, and I kind of hate that Dasani is pushing it with this ad.

    If you are dehydrated, your skin may become dry and dull along with the rest of your body not functioning so well. But if you're already at a normal level of hydration, drinking additional water will not make your skin glow, it won't help with wrinkles or acne or oiliness, it will just make you pee a lot.

    I have a Brita pitcher, but lately I am too lazy to change the filter. Do it when you get home, lalaland. No excuses.


    I love it and I drink a lot of water, but I go through it so fast. Then I have to wait for it to get cold again. The in-between time is what I hate.

    @SarahMC: I do. My local tap water is truly vile without a regularly changed charcoal filter in use. Also I hate the cost and waste of plastic bottles of water or soda.
