Gotta love American TV... God forbid the FCC doesn't blur out the boobs and butt cracks. I mean, that would really taint the over-all moral message of the show.

I stripped for a few months last year (my neighbour was the club DJ and it seemed like fun, easy money) and all I can say about this is I feel so sorry for the girls actually trying to work in the club that night!
This drama must have KILLED their money...

@Cuntlovin: I'll message you a longer reply if you want, but in brief...
It was a lot of fun, I love dancing, and I've always been very pro-sex workers, and never had any qualms with exposing my body (heh).
The girls were lovely, probably because I was really nervous and asked them loads of stuff about shaving, costumes and dancing and always respected the weird club heirarchy.
I would not recommend it if you have any issues with men seeing your body, or issues with basically lying to men to get their money. Also DO NOT straight out ask the other girls their feminist opinions on stripping! They probably have kids and debt etc and will not appreciate someone they will perceive as a priviledged, educated girl coming in and presenting competition for money they actually need to survive, simply as a sociological experiment.

I say do it if you want to, and are in an emotionally stable place (cause it can be draining). Message me on details of the clubs you are looking at, as there are lots of different types (fully nude, topless, different alcohol laws etc).

I had a lot of fun and made bank, but it is a lot of hard, physically and emotionally exhasting work and your experience depends a lot on your relationships with the other dancers. I'm in school now and draw on my experiences (and dancer savings) all the time.

"You're making me feel like I'm crazy.." At least, that's what I thought I heard. Um, whaa? Honey, if you agree to be on this show, then yeah. You're a little on the nutty side. Sidenote: Here's a perfect example of how NOT to drink. Alternately: the opposite of moderation. Sidenote #2: I, too, have been reduced to a blubbering, snotty mess as a result of overindulging. She's got me beat though. I've never thrown up all over a strip club. Score 1 for me!!

@terribletwenties aka Aesop's Foibles: Yep-- she definitely accused her costars of making her feel crazy. At one point she seemed to think they had taken her to a mental institution. Makes me wonder what tragic tidbits of info from her past will come out to put those comments in context.
