    I'm actually pretty sad about this. As a liberal Democrat, I've never liked this guy, but he's charismatic and intellectual and I've always thought he had a pretty good chance to end up president one day. What's sad is that I still think that. A majority of people in this country may support gay rights, but they damn sure don't think about that when they're casting votes for politicians.

    @Speeble: I have a similar one with Texas, although I was born and raised there. Now I'm in a not-exactly-better state, and struggling with if I want to go back to Texas someday. My family is there, and there are some good things about it, but I also would like to go to a place where people like Jindal and Rick Perry aren't the norm, ya know?
