I was 16 in April '97 and I stayed up ALL NIGHT drinking coke, hugging my knees and cheering when that smarmy git lost his seat to chants of 'Out! Out!'. In my defense, I didn't understand the cyclical nature of politics.

@tish: Sure! You'll need to have an image hosting service, like Photobucket, to upload your pictures. Then you just need to grab the direct link to that photo and do this:

<img src="http://photobucket.blah/hereismyphoto.jpg"

In which "http://photobucket.blah/hereismyphoto.jpg" is the direct link to your photo.

Notice that there is no trailing > at the end of that mess. This is because something is weird about Gawker's treatment of html tags. Hope this helps!

I definitely took the chance last night and this morning to cut dead weight from my Facebook friends list. All the hate mongering, slightly racist head cases showed their true colors last night. Like they think that the country is going to fall apart NOW (as if things aren't in shambles), we're going to be a Socialist nation (most cannot spell "socialist"), crackheads/homeless are going to take their money, etc etc etc. I never knew people could be that vile and uninformed.

@Khrushchev: "Get over it" is just dismissive. Its like sticking your fingers in your ears and going lalalalalala.

I find it terrible that my college educated friends cannot be bothered with looking up actual factual information, relying instead on rumors and lies to get their points across. Is it that hard to read information on both sides of the fence or is it just easy to parrot buzzwords and pretend that the messy past 8 years didn't happen??
