    As awesome as that is, I like to keep it simple with my Zombie Preparedness Kit (yes yes, different type of undead horror, but I'm fairly certain shotgun to the face covers one of the classic Vampire re-deadification stipulations: head removal). #vampirekillingkit

    What if the vampire is Jewish? Do you only need the Old Testament to ward him off? How about a Muslim vampire? Should you show them a copy of the Qua'ran? "Allah is very displeased with your bloodsucking, so you better knock it off!"

    Also, what if the vampire is an atheist? And you come at him with a Bible, all "Invisible Sky Man will lightning bold you!" and the vampire just laughs? How embarrassing for that vampire hunter. And what are you supposed to do for a unitarian vampire? Who has the space to carry every religion's sacred text around? I give up. Vampire, you can have my anemic blood. It tastes like pennies. #vampirekillingkit

    @morninggloria: In Ultraviolet 1988 vampire series with Stephen Moyer and Jack Davenport, religious symbols were seen as having a placebo effect and it was literally a matter of faith as to whether they worked. Besides, the more important issue is what happens to poor old vegetarian and vegan vampires? #vampirekillingkit

    @morninggloria: Stick to stake through the heart and garlic; pretty sure they work across across the board. Maybe keep on hand a garlicky pork roast for the Muslim vampires and a non-kosher garlicky pork roast for the Jewish ones. #vampirekillingkit

    @hortense: The other day I was preparing a roast- having stuffed it with garlic cloves I was rubbing garlic powder all over the outside of it. My roommate informed me I was overdoing the garlic. We'll see which one of us is laughing when she accidentally invites in her vampire friend not realizing he's had his soul re-removed #vampirekillingkit

    UK Jezzies can see Stephen Moyer of Tru Blood fame in the 1988 vampire series, Ultraviolet, on 4OD. Clearly being in television shows about vampires is well and truly in Moyer’s blood. #vampirekillingkit

    Ah, perfect. I was actually in the market for something to to spend thousands of dollars on and shove to the back of my closet, never to be seen again.

    Can I just say I am completely caught up in this vampire crap. I don't know how or why, and I won't watch/read Twilight or The Vampire Diaries but I have read all nine of the Sookie Stackhouse books in the past week and just ordered the first season of True Blood on DVD. I've never really been 'obsessed' with anything like this before and it almost freaks me out a bit! I cried at the end of the last book because there won't be another one for six months! Do I need vampire rehab?

    Sweet! One year in college I decided to dress up as Buffy for Halloween, and my dad offered to make me a real wooden stake to carry around. He wound up taking the project a bit too seriously and presented me with a seriously sharp wooden stake that could have actually been used as a weapon. I had to sand the thing down before I could take it out in public…
