    Did anyone watch her compete last night? She is amazing. Ridiculously tall and all arms and legs. And her little victory dance after making a high jump was awesome. Her facial expressions are priceless.

    @Skellatrix: Mystifies in what way? Like in the "why wear your hair that way" or like in "how do they make it work?"

    I always loved that hairstyle, but somehow the Swiss milkmaid look doesn't quite work the same way on an Indian girl.

    @seat_5a: I'm African-American and I rock the braided crown. (I'm transitioning from relaxed to natural and it's the only style that works right now.) You should try it!

    @ShanaElmsford: I'm white but with dark brown hair and in high school I had hair to my waist that I would do up in the braided crown. actually modified braided crown, I made pigtails, braided them and then did sort of a figure eight.

    As someone who is short and has a very large butt, I am soooo jealous of high-jumpers! My two best friends and track were amazing pole vaulters and high-jumpers. It does not help your high school self-esteem when your friends can fly and you can't.
