Jezzies, help me out. What is the Sartorialistesque site only featuring elderly people, like literally blue haired upper east side ladies with kickass leopard print sweaters?

Bill Cunningham is one of the sweetest, most gracious people ever. I get so happy whenever I see him pull up in his bicycle in his little blue jacket. Long live Bill!

I've turned Mr Jello on to "On the Street." We both look forward to it each week. Neither of us knows much about fashion, but Bill is so enthusiastic it has us both riveted.

It's refreshing to read about a person who is associated with the fashion world who is unpretentious, approachable and respected. I love the fact that he lives in a building where he uses a shared bathroom and kitchen!

Tangentially, I think I own a replica of the outfit pictured in the middle with red flats, red skirt and big red bag.

I love what he said about the fashionable women going to work everyday. They never seem to get photographed on all these style sites. There seems to be a lot of hipster kids or eccentrics featured. I'd love to see more of the everyday fashionable working woman (or man).

@AthertonMerriweather: YES!!!! As someone who work in a professional environment and has to wear a suit, or some variation thereof evreyday (ie, dress and blazer, nice cardigan over a dress, etc)I love the style blogs, but sometimes get annoyed that I can't wear any of the clothes, except on weekends, since they just don't fit my lifestyle. As cool as it may be, I don't think my boss would appreciate me coming in in acid wash jeans and a vintage Mickey Mouse t-shirt.

I love people like this. I sometimes wonder if soon we'll have no one with this kind of passion and depth of knowledge left, because we thought it was cooler to employ someone like Peaches Geldof and we can't concentrate on anything longer than 500 words.

Anyone else think we're often obsessed with the idea of child/teen prodigies, when in fact they're rare as hen's teeth and we should be finding people who've been working in their subject for decades, and still utterly in love with it?

@ihateyourescalade: Also, no one has the nerve/foresight to tell Peaches Geldof to go and work in a Paris atelier for a few years, then deal in vintage clothes in Berlin for another ten, be a designer's chief seamstress in Tokyo for five seasons, have a substantial personal life with a wardrobe to match and THEN come back and start to write.

@girlhero: don't take this in a bad way because i'm don't intend it meanly, but i don't think old people are cute. my favorite elderly people have seen so much more than i have and have built up a core of character i can only wish i'll have when i'm 80. powerful, yes. wise, yes. experienced, yes. cute, hardly.

when I used to work in fashion, bill cunningham came to one of the shows I was working on, and I was fresh out of college, knew nothing, and asked my coworker "who's that old guy who keeps taking pictures of everything?" and she looked at me, aghast and said "Please tell me you don't know who bill cunningham is." I didn't but now I do, and he is the BEST, sweetest, most enthusiastic, wonderful man in the biz. His new weekly videos on the Times Website are must-watch - they'll brighten your whole weekend.

@lululechou:Bill Cunningham is not only a New York treasure, he's a real usa american treasure. I just love his style so much. I wish someone would write up his memoirs or collect all his columns and weekly audio slideshows, and make a book for him, illustrated with thousands of his pictures.
