    I saw her perform a couple of weeks ago, and while this particular presentation is definitely the cheesiest of the show(well, except for a couple of unneeded interludes with cheesy dancing where she wasn't on stage), she was truly unfrackin' believable. All bad costuming was forgiven.


    I'm not the most massive fan of her music, but now completely worshipful of the woman and her stage abilities.


    (Also, her 4 background dancers were HOT.)

    @alphafemale: If you don't fucking adore her act (which I wouldn't understand, anyway...), the middle-aged ladies in wigs and fringed dresses in the audience are enough to make you respect Tina.

    I love that she's not afraid to rock this outfit 25 years later. I went to her concert this fall with my mother as a casual fan, and left a serious Tina Turner convert. This women is one of the best celebrity role models out there. She presents herself as a such a strong woman, but doesn't do it in that "Oprah-y" way that grates on me.


    I went as Aunt Entity for Halloween, and I even had a mini tape-player with 'We Don't Need Another Hero' on repeat. Funnest costume ever. Here's a really unflattering picture of me in it: [www.flickr.com]

    @floozy: That is an awesome costume. I was 80s Tina last year for Halloween. The fact that the above picture is not uber-flattering makes me feel a little better about my somewhat inaccurate portrayal of her ;)

    While this picture is not flattering, I saw her live recently, and this part of the show was AWESOME. It involved a hydraulic lift and a very large, muscular man named Justice in a loincloth. Because, really, if you're Tina Turner, you're 68, and you are one hell of a badass lady, why the hell not?
