    Reading through these comments, (several of which seem to be thinly veiled 'Camilla is a whore; poor Diana' strikes - well Diana had an affair too, people! And it wasn't with someone she'd been in love with years before!) everyone seems a bit set on the 'revealing clothes thing', whereas I thought the real issue was the toy gun.Britain is currently having major issues with gangland culture - over the last few years there's been a surge in the number of shootings and stabbings in our cities - and it's a given thing at the moment for 'famous' people to be stepping up and figuring out who to blame for 13-year-olds shooting other 13-year-olds. No one else thought this was just another one of those sorts of press releases?

    @zarahruth: You're right, she was talking about violence towards women - she made the comments when touring a rape crisis centre. But that would involve people actually clicking the link to the article and reading it to get the full story!o
    I'm also quite surprised about the comments about adultery and the calls on her "morality" - how is that relevant when her message is about sexual violence? Is everything she says n every issue negated by the fact she slept with a married man? Do we also ignore everything ever said by JFK, or Bill Clinton, two other well-known adulterers?

    You know, I am sort of tired of pop stars showing all of their goods. I was watching videos the other day and thinking to myself, wouldn't it be nice not to see someone's ass and titties for a change? I mean, you can still be crazy talented and creative without being completely naked or bumping and grinding in you videos. I remember when singers used to go out onto the stage and you know, like, SING and you would be mesmer-fucking-rized. Now, it's like this mad race to see who can take their clothes off the fastest and actual talent is only a second thought. I think back to when I was a teen and I remember their being a pretty decent variety of singers. Sure, some were popping their poo-tangs, but for balance there were also artists like Lauryn Hill or Erykah Badu who were in my opinion, two of the prettiest chicks on the planet. Still, they didn't cash in on their looks. They brought real talent to the table and their beauty was secondary. Much of my chagrin comes from the fact that it's not like when Madonna grinded on stage singing, "Like A Virgin"; back then it was like a reclamation of female sexuality. Now, it seems like par for the course; young female singers are expected to be ridiculously sexy and scantily-clad. All. Of. The. Time. And they are hung out to dry when they are 29 and "washed up", because essentially, they've already shown all they had and the viewing pub is tired of seeing it.

    I'll stop my tangent.

    Still, I have a feeling that future generations are going to rebel against our hypersexuality by covering themselves up Amish-style.

    Anna, et al, I think "day off" means something other than what you think it means... Go watch daytime TV and drink rum in your underpants, ladies! You never get a day off!     Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, said children in Britain are being exposed to graphic music videos from artists like U.S. pop singer Beyonce.

    So she really has a problem with parents not monitoring what their children watch?
    Remember guys, sex WILL kill us. It's obscene, dirty, and bad. Society would be better off with more shame.
    Oh, and this is the first time an older generation had a problem with a younger generation's music.

    @femme-bot: I love that this is coming from a woman who had an adulterous relationship for roughly 3 decades.
    I don't know what feelings were involved, but I like my moral police to at least reflect some semblance of morality themselves.
