In the untouched pictures of her, you can see the area looks like the bottom of a belly button, it's just not very deep.

I have to say, I like the fact that she does have the same little area that pooches out under the belly button I have and just won't go away at all...we need more un-Photoshopped pictures in catalogs.

I have a friend who has no belly button. It was a result of an unorthodox umbilical knot. Or so he says. Personally I think he was hatched.

Okay, so I have the opposite "problem". My belly button is so deep, you *cannot* see the bottom of it.

No matter how heavy or thin I am, the button just looks like this dark hole with no bottom. Even if you try to pry apart the sides to see down in there, you can't. If you cheat and use a flashlight you can sort of see the bottom, but not very well. I have no idea how this happened.

When I was pregnant, I was sure I would finally get to see the bottom, and maybe even get to have the little inverted belly button like all the other ladies I had heard so much about, but NO. My shy little belly button bottom stayed hidden somewhere in its mystical realm, hidden away from the prying eyes of outsiders.

Hmph.

@lizzzz: Dude. Mine has always been too deep to see the bottom! I'm convinced that if one were to insert a finger it would tickle my guts. This cannot be proven though because it's too damn ticklish.

@lizzzz: Mine is quite deep, too. I think it's full of secrets. I can get the whole first segment of my finger in there before it starts to feel ouchy.

I'm thinking maybe I should get it enlarged, so I can carry stuff around in it, like a marsupial sac.

@Oface: @KiwiMarie: I can feel it in my, um, well, it's somewhere around the 'gina/uterus area but not quite. It's definitely a funny feeling, though, and not one I enjoy (unlike most feelings in that area!)

My husband has an outtie inside of an innie. It pops out when he lies a certain way. It is so adorable I can't help poking him like the Pillsbury dough boy. He hates it when I do because it is really ticklish. If we ever get divorced, this will be the reason.

When you do a tummy tuck you have to reposition the belly button. When I was a surgical assistant, we'd be looking at it like...here? No....here? Ok. And you'd poke a hole and sew it back on. It was so strange.

actually, there's some french song which asks if Adam had a bellybutton, that I was just talking about today.

also, i have a weirdly deep innie, that is most certainly an innie, but everyone thinks i have an outie or something, which are gross (sorry). it seems like many children have outies, but they change over time.

(god, it felt so weird to write "innie" and "outie" so many times in one sentence...now i feel sillier)

My husband doesn't have one either from an umbilical hernia. There's a tiny indentation. If you run your finger over it, it feels sort of like your temple.

I push on it to try to make it an inny but no luck so far.

We're twinsies, Karlina and me. I used to have a lovely innie then 2 kids and 60 pounds later it disappeared and became more like a hernia. Terribly sexy, let me say. I could rock that outfit she's wearing and not even have to stick mah belly out.
