    I've never been "over the moon" about Tom but nor have I (nor will I) ever hate him. He has done some pretty good acting in his career and the Scientology thing is his own personal business (freedom of religon people).


    HIs jumping on the couch was funny and his "glib" comment to Matt Lauer and all the stuff about Brooke Shields was just out of hand but you know - he's human (contrary to the belief that some of you think he bleeds green)


    This clip (regardless of the fact that actors are almost always acting to some degree) is a nice, normal
    clip of him just talking like a father.

    I have to say, I find myself wanting to stop hating celebrities I've hated for years (Tom Cruise, Britney Spears) and looking for reasons to, you know, not hate them, I guess because my life is stressful enough and I don't have the energy to hate people I don't know.


    Except Elizabeth. She's like Jello--there's always room to hate her.

    He is ridiculously charming. I was so disappointed when he seemed to batty a couple years ago. I hope he really is this normal in real life, and hasn't just dialed down the creepy/crazy because he realized is career was going to die an embarassing death if he didn't.


    Whatever, he'll always be Maverick to me. (Don't judge)

    @GatsbysLover: I think your second sentence is more accurate. Bringing out Valkyrie during the Christmas season was a huge battle for the studio, which it seems to have lost because it's such a god awful movie. He's on a charm campaign now, but it may be way too late.

    @Raspberry Swirl: Dance Party Coordinator: Nicole Kidman spends a lot of time gushing about how there's really nothing that compares to giving birth to a child, how she's finally a mother, blah, blah. She consistently fails to acknowledge Bella and Connor's existence, it's really sad.
