Several months ago I stopped using shampoo and do what is called "conditioner washing" where, instead of shampoo, you use a lot of conditioner as you would a shampoo, then comb through and rinse. My hair is in phenomenal condition since I started doing this and the best thing is I haven't been using the expensive stuff I used to buy. Instead I switch around between Aussie, Organix, Pantene and whatever else strikes my fancy (and all are cheap and at the drugstore.) I was a little skeptical at first, but I was amazed at how well this works. Even my boyfriend commented on the difference.I don't need no frickin' pig placenta or bull semen!!!

Sure, wheat protein may work as well as bull semen, but where's the challenge in that?

I remember this coming up in a previous post's comments, but a lot of Indian women use coconut oil or almond oil in their hair. When I get back to the US, I'm thinking of returning to the practice because the water in my house is so hard that my hair becomes crunchy. #exotichairtreatments

@labratintraining: I do the coconut oil all the time. The oils help with moisture, the proteins help with strength and repairing damage. For natural protein (with a bit of an ick factor, but not as bad) do a mask of egg yolks. Don't do protein of any type too much or your hair will become brittle and dry. Always follow protein with a conditioning treatment.

Last Thursday, a pigeon shat on my head in what can only be described as a drive-by pooping. I had to rush into Saks Fifth Avenue to wash my hair in the sink (talk about humiliating). So, I am thrilled that courtesy of this incident, I will soon have lustrous hair. #exotichairtreatments

You know, looking at the picture I thought for sure the article was going to be about pigeon crap in face cream. Primarily because there's a scene in Memoirs of a Geisha where Sayuri/Chiyo scrapes pigeon poop off the roof and puts it in Hatsumomo's face cream. But the face cream was already made of nightingale poop.
