    @sybann: I saw someone make a 3 point turn in the middle of PCH yesterday after driving ~25-30MPH for 11 miles and passing untold numbers of turn-offs and parking lots. Just popped a 3-pointer RIGHT IN FRONT OF US. There was a part of me that wished they had continued backing off the cliff.

    Without reading the article, I am going to make a prediction about inducing labor before 40 weeks...


    1) Increased # of diabetic mothers
    2) Increased # of older mothers


    Both perfectly reasonable. My mom was diabetic for all her pregnancies. My brother was born a month and a week early--he weighed 7 pounds. In the last month of gestation, a baby can be expected to put on up to a pound a week.


    I was born on time and was 9 lbs 12 oz. My mother didn't realize she was diabetic when she was preggers with me. Induced labor a couple weeks early might have been nicer for the both of us...
