    I was thinking about how wrong it is to make Barbie all fashion-y, or to focus on that. She was never some Gossip Girl or socialite, but more like a really really nice older sister or babysitter who got good grades and went to pizza and dance parties and had cool female roommates.

    Okay, is it weird that I love how the little girls get a plain normal sleeveless tee and a huge fucking froofy skirt and comfy sneakers? When I was like seven, I would have FREAKED OUT IN PEALS OF JOY over something like that.

    I actually love the "Mediterranean Cruise" look (even the gigantic hat!), but it totally sticks out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of the collection (which sort of looks like the results of an unusually successful Project Runway challenge.)

    @VideoEtTaceo: I have the Project Runway Barbie. Sadly, it's a "MyScene" Barbie so it looks more like one of the Bratz dolls than a real Barbie. But the outfit is cute.
