He did find said Barbie at an out-of-the-way Walmart on the outskirts of Mesa. Poor guy got all road-ragey and stabby driving around, and since time (and $$) was a factor, he was afraid of shipping...

Simply put, it was Barbie who taught me that I could write about ANYTHING. Because this short, skinny, slouchy, flat-chested girl was never enamored with Barbie. She did not fit in my doll house, and, frankly, you just know she's a bitch, deep down. The kind who would steal your boyfriend, all the while smiling, what with her impecable posture, perfect make-up and fancy, elitist clothes. (Ooops, my jealousy of her tits and wardrobe are showing!)
Actually, I did a lot of research, and it was interesting; she has an extensive back story, how she met Ken, how they came up with her dimensions, etc.

I loved Barbie when I was a little girl. Barbie was a 'grown-up' doll, not a baby or a kid, and she was everything from an astronaut to a vet, which was much more exciting to me than playing Mommy with some blank-eyed plastic infant. And she never did marry Ken, either!

You know I never liked Barbie. I always went for her friend Theresa, she spoke to me more. Plus Barbie was always in pink and Theresa in blue and as a kid I hated pink and loved blue. I never realized until I was like 20 that Theresa was suppose to be Barbie's "Hispanic" friend
