(Seriously though, what a coincidence that this topic just came up!)

Also, the MTV ad just came at a really hard time for me with some stuff I'm dealing with in my own relationship. Boo. That's all I've got.

Why, yes. Yes, we would feel differently, motherfucker.

A woman's work really is never done.

Sex is also a weapon to some people. It can hurt and degrade and destroy people's selves and lives. Penis used to rape someone = gun is appropriate.

But yeah, that is pretty damn disturbing.

In Hebrew, the words for "penis" and "armament" have the same root. The word for "fuck" (as a noun, like, "God, that was a good fuck!") is likewise very similar to the word "armed."
But oddly, when Israelis speaking Hebrew use the actual English-language work "fuck" in their conversation, they mean "terrible mistake" or "terrible problem."
And when they say "It's a fact!" (which for some reason, they often do, in English, in the middle of speaking Hebrew), it more often than not sounds like "It's a fucked!"
So. I'm sure this is all connected somehow, but just writing it down made my brain hurt.

But the gun imagery...offensive to both sexes honestly. Couldn't they have crammed a baby doll in that condom or something?

"Yes, honey, that man is pointing a gun at the woman's pee-pee, because he has a terrible disease that could kill her, if she doesn't force him to wear a piece of latex that he is too unenlightened to understand will keep him safe, too. No, honey, no, don't cry! You'll love sex someday!"

@MizJenkins: which picture?

It's pretty over the top. I could understand if it was raising awareness for sexual assault, not condom use.
