I would really like to begin a short woman militia. We will embrace our actual short stature. We will boycott high heels because, frankly, they hurt and they never actually stop hurting no matter how long one wears them. We will become grand supporters of rolling up the cuff of one's pants and standing on tiptoes to kiss, reach the second shelf, and wave hello to a person some distance away. We will not hang our heads when we hear, as we always do, "can I have all the short people come down front for the group photo?" Instead, we will revel in it. We will proudly shop in the children's section of stores. We will not be shamed when someone exclaims, "Oh my GOD, how small is your foot?!" We will no more be afraid of the "You must this tall to ride" signs at the fair. No, no, no we will embrace it all. We will go to the play parks attached to fast food chains simply because we can. We will hide comfortably in small spaces and always win hide-and-seek. We will find ingenious ways to get "up there". We will laugh each time our partner thinks that he or she has accidentally shrunk our clothes in the wash. We will refuse to shop at Petite Palace and other such stores. We will make friends with people who can sew. We will be a happy militia. Everyone who joins will receive a nice pair of flats and a trip to Oxford, UK where all the doors are still our size.

Nicole went, in my eyes, from "I'm pretty sure she's autistic" to "she takes good photos" to "OMG I LOVE HER." I'm actually pretty confident that she will continue working in some capacity after the show because she just has that je ne sais quoi.

So glad it came down to these two. I was rooting for Jen too, but those wonky eyes, like Kara's were the kiss of death.

These two, Nicole and Laura, are adorable, but this contest was in Nicoles hands the holw time. She is gorgeous and really can take pictures. I loved when her hair was blowing in Tyras face at the end and Ty Ty kept giving her the look. Now who will give Laura her own show?

Several things on this episode. First was Anne Schoquette (or however you spell it) channeling her inner Tyra for this episode? She was way over the top. Second what was with Laura's comment that sounding smart makes you a snob? Finally that was the WORST runway ever. The clothes, the glitter, the water orgy at the end, and of course Nicole's walk. And of course Tyra comes out in the end and says omg you were great!

Laura's walk only seemed good in comparison to Nicole's initial lumber. Nicole improved with each pass, and if you watch Laura, she's really only so-so. And after 12 cycles of Top Model from the couch, I am a runway diva coach extraordinaire.
I think I'm biased though because I did love Laura, but in the last episode they showed her stealth bitch, and I started to feel that the episode paralleled the politics of America right now: those who speak in full sentences sound 'snobby' and 'arrogant' and out of touch, and nobody would buy mascara from them and they're anti-American. We're supposed to root for the girl who winks and grins and wrinkles her nose and "aw-shucks-I'm-just-a-small-town-gal"s because she's "real" and who needs books anyway?
This is probably unfair to Laura, but I blame Ken Mok.

I've been rooting for Nicole since episode 1, which is usually the kiss of death for any reality show contestant. HOORAY FOR AWKWARD GIRL! The way the other girls treated her was so unnecessary. (I'm looking at you, Sundai and Erin.)

i like nicole, and i'm glad she won, but i just could not get over her crazy "stomping ogre" runway walk, WTF??

Laura made me sad at the end. I think this is the first cycle where i've ever actually liked both finalists

@xgurl3eb: Laura DEFINITELY was far superior on the runway. She looked like a natural, whereas nicole just looked SO awkward.
I agree though, I loved both. I thought Nicole deserved to win (other than the runway) but stilll... sad Laura = sad me. But hopefully not winning will mean she'll be more successful!
