Buying an exercise bike off of Craig's List!! Why didn't I think of this before?!?!?!?!?

I have to CALL the guy, which I hate, obvs, but hopefully it will be worth the hassle of using the phone. How early is too early to call on a Sunday morning after a holiday?

@Ayoshe: It's essentially a cocoa flavored cake with a ton of red food coloring and cream cheese frosting. It's tasty, but it's not my favorite. That would be lemon cake or chocolate cake!

Hey I know its a long shot. But Like Ive mentioned before my roomate unexpectedly moved out and left me with extra power and rent bills. Anyone have a few extra bucks they want to throw in my paypal account.

Just thought I'd try, I am so worried sick about how I am going to pay these bills and have tried selling everything I have of value plus asking my family to help me and I am at my wits end. :(

@duetoprivacy: Alas, I am broke as well, but I know that some power companies will work with you. They'll let you set up a payment schedule so you can stretch the payments out a bit and give yourself a bit more time. I was unemployed for 10 months and PG&E was awesome. I didn't pay anything by the billed due date - I made arrangements every damn month. So long as you honor the arrangement, they'll do it. Now that's Pacific Gas and Electric - not sure where you are, but times are tough, so it's worth a try asking.

As for your landlord, if you've been a good tenant for a long time maybe he or she will also work with you. If not, most cities have some kind of renter's emergency fund. I think if you call your local Health and Human Services department they can probably stere you in the right direction. Or the United Way.

I'm sorry that you're going through this. I hope the power company and your landlord are willing to work with you. GOOD LUCK!

Today was cold and rainy, so I spent the holiday hanging with friends at one of our places. We played board games, and watched funny youtube videos, and danced around like nuts, and had an 80s/90s sing-a-long, and did the electric slide, and we grilled the most amazing dinner of steak, salmon, asparagus, corn, peppers and onions, and portabella mushrooms, and then we got fro yo. I love having people in my life who I can spend 12 hours with, and not get sick of them.

Woo Hoo! Myself, my guy, and my bestie just got to see fireworks from my apartment building! They set them off at the Country Club within a half mile of here.

Now the man has the coals going for steaks, corn, potatoes, and I'm going to whip up a salad. It's a feast of goodness! I'm all exclamatory!!!!!!

Hey gorgeous peeps, just managed to get out of bed. Its 4.20 pm here. That is quite shocking, but a wine hangover will do that to you. The Boy bought me a hangover survival kit, so sweet of him. Will keep him on! Now planning on getting a pizza. Cheese is what I want right now. Greasy, melty, awesome cheese.

@i'm going to have my friends call me valerie: Isn't it funny our human brains tell us that? But nutritionally what we are craving is the salt and other depleted nutrients. (I'm a big fan of Carl's Jr. $6 Burger & large fries when I have a hangover). What we really should do is eat a bowl of fruit (gag)and rehydrate with Gatorade or another sports drink. However, sweets are typically not on the mind when the alcohol from last night is pounding away in your head.

Funny because I NEVER eat fast food except when I'm hungover, and it has to be a big juicy burger with fries.
