Where does that fit into the theory?

Because men want to maximize their number of offspring who survive, they want to pick experienced mothers, and better yet, fatter mothers because that shows that the woman has resources to spare for the children. Furthermore, he wants to make sure the woman isn't tricking him into supporting another man's children, so he will insist upon monogamy.
See, science works for everything.

Although I have to say that after being single this summer I found that men are insultingly easy and it made me not as in to it. With my fiance, we both have to work for it, and it keeps it interesting, although I am fucking drained these days and looking forward to it getting easier again.

finally I forced myself to toe the line JUST ONCE...4 months later he's still hanging on every word....and loves the fact that half the time he leaves my place WITH a hard-on (and no, I'm really not holding out anymore, he just has the switch flipped to ON for me)
I know that this happy outcome is also because we really are compatible/happy together.... but I know if I'd been more available at the beginning he wouldn't be quite so...."snagged", shall we say, on me....
so you can bet I'll be telling my daughter that it sucks but it's true: just a little denial goes a long way when it comes to men's big brain/little brain chemistry!

i am currently avoiding some guy who found my profile online but has kept his own profile hidden (flags aplenty) and when i asked the question if he lived with his parents as part of a group of other humorous questions, he admitted that he WAS living with his parents.
he's 43.
if this is what i have to pick from, i'm calling the convent. seriously.

We had a pair of ducks once, but the female was attacked by a raccoon and died. The male spent the rest of his horny little duck life mounting our hens and killing them because he was too heavy. Not that we let this happen on a regular basis, but it did happen.

"The base of the Argentine lake duck's penis is covered with coarse spines, while the tip is soft and brush-like. The researchers think a drake may use the brush-like tip as a sort of cleansing instrument before ejaculation to remove sperm in the females oviduct that was deposited by another suitor, thus increasing the mating drake's chances of paternity."

"One unusual feature of the spotted hyena is that females have an enlarged clitoris called a pseudo-penis, demi-penis or sometimes mistakenly referred to as a nanophallus. Female hyenas give birth, copulate and urinate through their protruding genitalia which stretches to allow the male penis to enter for copulation; it also stretches during birth. The anatomical position of the genitalia gives females complete control over which males are allowed to mate with them."
I have learned WAY too much today.

Is your bird rude to waitstaff? Does he neglect to open your nest door? Does his shiny little eye wander while you're trying to talk to him? If so, DON'T GIVE HIM ANY ANUS!

That reminds me of that scene in that Miranda July movie where the two boys are on the computer.
I don't think I'm coy but I do get, "I can't read you/you're hard to read." from guys A LOT.
