Christine Maggiore is one such AIDS denialist, had her daughter DIE of suspiciously AIDS like symptoms after delivering her naturally without precautions and then breastfeeding her. She obviously still maintains it wasn't AIDS or the HIV+ status that killed her kid.

And his family is full of jerks. The oldest girl (yes, both girls) is brunette and his family treats her like shit because she isn't blond like her younger sister. And all this in Puerto Rico, land of 'we're all fucking mixed, people!'

1. If the guy is HIV+ and in treatment with a period of time with no viral load, the woman will probably not contract HIV. (6 months or more with no viral load = less than 2% chance of transmission.)
2. HIV is far from a death sentence, if you have access to anti-retrovirals and stick to your dosing schedule. Atripla is especially easy to take.
3. The guy should go to jail for at least 30 years.

Any way, I agree with Brigit quiere comer pasteles! both of these guys should have to pay for the first-class care of the women they infected. If for no other reason than because they devalued the lives of others to such as extent that it somehow seemed okay to malaciously infect them with a still deadly disease.

Unfortch, this virus has the annoying tendency to infect deep, deep tissue and remain there, even while your results say 'unreactive'.
One of the best things I think they are doing is starting aggressive treatment very early on so that the virus doesn't have the chance to infect deep tissue.

Lemme tell you about the weird situations he/we get into:
people who 1) have HIV 2) know they have HIV 3) know HE knows they have HIV, because he sees their medical records 4) know he knows THEY know they have HIV 5) and so on...
Are the only people that ask him to help them when they have a cut. Not a horrible wound that they can't tend to themselves; they'll literally ask him to help them put on a fuckin band-aid when they're in his office, no gloves in sight.
They know he won't do it, so why do they ask him. It's crazy.
And THEN one night, we were walking down the street and this guy with a busted up face rides up on his bike to us. He tells my boyf all about how he got into a fight with his housemate, blood all over the walls apparently. His eyebrow is split open, blood all down one side of his face, so boyf asks him if he plans on getting it cleaned up and sewed up, but guy says that he's fine.
I happen to have some antibiotic cream in my purse (hypochondriac) and offer it to him because it looks like it'll get infected. He says "oh thanks CAN YOU PUT IT ON FOR ME?" I was like "um, no it looks like its gonna rain so, uh, it'll probably come off, err, just put it on yourself when you get home....um, yea" because SERIOUSLY who asks someone to do that?
Then boyf is all "SEE YA!" grabs my hand and books it down the street, only to tell me when we're two blocks away that the guy is positive for HIV and "God knows what else" and then rants about all the shit I started this comment with.
Ugh, he just knows so many people who have communicable diseases and DON"T GIVE A FUCK about themselves or anyone else.
Fuck, sometimes I hate this town.

I don't care how shitty they're life is. It's not an excuse to endanger others. Period.
