    I'm guessing the text-messaging "I" vs. "We" partnered women have differences in happiness not only because the "I" women have confidence and self determination, but they probably lack the "We"-woman cognitive dissonance that comes with placing ownership on a man, an entity mistaken to be a part of you--who proceeds to act in totally independent and frustrating ways.


    It'd be like referring to you + your own right foot as "We", and then waking in the night in time to catch it on the phone ordering a pizza.

    If the IM story is looking at couples conversations with each other, then wouldn't it be more about you vs. I than I vs we? Like people who use "I" more than "you" in those conversations would be more comfortable sharing their own experiences and feelings rather than just lavishing attention on their partner and thus there would be more equality or something. I would be surprised if my BF and I could have a conversation where we said "we" all the time. It'd be so boring; I was there for all the "we" stuff so why does he need to tell me about it or vice versa?

    It's actually Madeleine McCann - not McCain. That threw me for a second thinking it was a long-lost member of the John McCain family.

    Either way, it's disgusting. I get the point - the amount of media coverage of the case is obscene - but we are still talking about posting pictures of a 5 year old child's face on pornographic images. How is that not MORE obscene and just as exploitative?
