When are we going to de-stigmatize herpes? Yes, it sucks, it affects the body in some pretty bad ways, especially in pregnancy, but a rather large portion of the population has it, so really.

It's not only for sluts and meth addicts - my husband and I are both well-educated, decent people and I got it from my (ex)fiance; my husband, from his (ex)wife.

@gerbilsoutofexile...is cheap and easy: agreed. it's totally slut-shaming, when in fact you can get from a trusted, monogamous partner. i had a friend that realized she had it after a 10 month dry spell - it had simply been dormant for that lon. so if she had started a new relationship during that time, she never would have known...

It's disappointing that the director of Gwyneth's film shared that little anecdote. Whatever one thinks of Gwyneth, it just seems like a personal moment that should have stayed private. And to also have The Sun then publish a still from the topless moment in the film and ask readers to judge for themselves...the whole thing is just creepy.

Although, thinking about it, I kind of get what Beyonce is saying. The way that show treated gay people was homophobic, overly hetronormative (remember that "tranny hooker episode") and completely whitewashed. Like most of Beyonce's music.

@nyc-caribbean-ragazza: Kristin was married to a French guy she met as a young woman and has lived in France for decades so her French is fluent. I enjoy watching her's and Charlotte Rampling's french films. Charlotte, like Jane Birkin, being anoother of those upper crust Englsh gels who have had a long successul career in France. It is wonderful that European film makers continue to believe that les femmes d'un age certain still have a lot to offer the world of cinema.

@JinxyMcDeath: I couldn't watch it, even though I have been obsessively following her in the news. Am I the only one who thinks people are pimping out her death? I think Ryan O'Neal is an egomaniacal prick who is happy to put himself on display as the grieving widower. Maybe if I saw the doc (or the Today Show stuff with him on it) I'd believe he's sincere (and I'm sure he is, in his way) but I can't help thinking HE'S LEAVING HER DEATHBED TO BE ON T.V. Don't jump on me, though.

But it's not about him - it's about Farrah. And it's heartbreaking. It RIPPED my heart out. And quite frankly, freaked me out. I felt very vulnerable watching it. Like "this could be any of us"...but I also I also kept thinking "I couldn't afford to fly to germany for special treatment so I'd probably be dead by now if I were her."

I have never, ever, read someone saying that Miley was/is fat...and I read it all (sad, but true). So, what is she talking about?

I mean, look, I knew a guy that once said "every girl could stand to lose 5 pounds." He was an asshole. A douchebag. A loser. A dude you would NOT want to be with me in any way, shape, or form. The type of men who think Miley is fat, are the type of men that have other serious personality flaws that are very unappealing. For example, that dude was incredibly controlling, quick-tempered, mean-spirited, made girls cry (he made fun of them and people laughed) - he was essentially Tucker Max.
