    @momentsofabsurdity: I realized they weren't worth it when I would eat like... the whole box in one sitting. And all the packaging makes me feel guilty for the damaging the environment

    The waste issue bothers me a lot less than the "paying someone extra money to measure my food for me" issue. Bottom line is they're the absolute least cost effective way to buy snack food.


    Give me a whole package of real Oreos (and milk!) or give me death.

    @PrarieMuffin: I hear you- these little packed things are hella expensive. I buy cookies in bulk and them separate them into baggies so I don't eat all of it at once. Even though sometimes I still do.

    Mmm... Green Bean Chips are so good. And the ones at my local store are actually crazy low in sodium and lower in fat than these (I just can't find that brand online).

    I'll admit that I like the (Cadbury?) 100 calorie chocolate bars. But not for the calorie count, just because they're smaller. I don't always need a whole candy bar. And, frankly, sometimes it gets pretty icky in my desk drawer if I don't eat the whole thing in one go.

    I absolutely love the chex mix version of the 100 calorie packs because they just have the cheesey coated chex pieces and they don't muck up the magic with a bunch of damn pretzels and pieces of melba toast. I just want my chex cereal coated in cheesey dust. I don't need that other shit.

    Yeah, those things are a total waste and taste like shit. Though, I'm definitely not who they market to, as I buy 99% of my groceries from Trader Joe's. Actually, I bought their version of this a few times-- little cheesy fish-shaped crackers and they were delicious. Methinks it was the lack of preservatives and fake flavor things. Hmmmm...

    I always feel bad about getting things in individual packages just because of the whole waste issue. That said, Smartfood leaves me powerless to exercise any sort of portion control, so when I'm looking to replenish my junk food food drawer, the 100cal packs have been known to end up in my shopping carriage.


    I know, I know, I should just portion it out into ziploc bags. I'm getting there.
