    I really hate to comment on anyone's body, but Amy Winehouse used to have that pin-up look, before she started all the drugs...*sigh* She was pretty and healthy looking before the drugs took over. #madonna

    @Red-headed bookworm: i was just coming here to say the exact same thing. before her addiction issues she had a voluptuous, classic pin-up figure. can one's figure really change that permanently due to drug use? i mean, obviously the weight loss is an issue, but can she not regain the muscle mass over time? (i realize this is dangerous topic territory.) #madonna

    @BlondeGoddess: Hmmm, I never heard that. I wonder what permanent effects appearance-wise do result from drugs. Amy Winehouse's skin and teeth has obviously changed since she started doing drugs other than pot. The teeth changes are permanent but I wonder if the skin would heal itself after being off drugs for a time. #madonna

    And clearly I am lying when I say I don't smoke anything at all anymore because I was so over getting sick every month.

    @Ms Meghan: I hate it when people say, "Everyone who says they don't do drugs is lying." Unless they are referring to drugs that are not illegal, such as caffeine, alcohol, and prescriptions, which I doubt they are. I have never had any interest in smoking pot or snorting coke or anything like that. It's just not my thing. I don't know if I can explain why this makes me so angry, but it does.

    My best friend and boyfriend used to smoke pot, but now they don't. Apparently when they did it all the time it was really relaxing, but now it makes them super paranoid and shit. And my boyfriend was tired of it because he felt it was keeping him from doing anything with himself. I'm not saying everyone is like this, and certainly you can be successful and smoke pot and do other drugs, but the assumption that because *some* people do *everyone* must, drives me up the wall. People are different, and to assume that everyone is just like you is so ego-centric. #madonna

    @Blueberry26: I have never smoked weed. I've never even tried it. I have never wanted to try it. The smell is horrendous and the people who smoke it smell awful as well. They say stupid things and they act foolish and make bad decisions as well.

    So, you're definitely not alone when reading statements like that. It makes me angry too that people think weed it the best shit in the world and that its harmless.

    One of my good friends stopped smoking it recently because she said it made her dumb as shit. She couldn't even form a sentence together some days.

    Some people, when they abuse alcohol do beat the hell out of each other, fine, but sometimes when people are high they do things just as bad. Like driving and getting into accidents (for example).

    Weed is a drug not a herb. If it was a herb you'd be putting it in your tea not in a little roll. #madonna

    @Sorcha: Actually you can make tea with it. A friend of mine made weed tea, to combat the side effects of chemo.

    And not everyone who smokes pot is a stupid stoner - not everyone who drinks is an alcoholic. Please.

    @BlondeGoddess: the alcoholic remark was Stone's not mine.

    Everyone I know who smokes is pretty much "a stupid stoner" and do make pretty stupid remarks like Joss Stone just did.

    She's saying its just and herb and its harmless and because she does it that means everyone's doing it, so obviously she's right. I'm saying she's wrong.

    Good for your friend for combating chemo with it instead of using it for recreational purposes. I know sometimes it benefits people who are blind as well, that's great, but to use just for the sake of getting high to say that its harmless when you do so and making it seem like the greatest thing one earth and claiming that everyone's doing is pretty stupid. I've seen what its done to my friends so I'm entitled to have negative opinion about it and pardon me if Its hard for me to see it as a tool for healing.

    I was at Tracy Morgan's show at Carnegie Hall and I was deeply disappointed at how many homophobic and misogynistic things he had to say. He made comments, for example, that lesbianism doesn't exist (it's just the result of women being abused by the men in their lives) and that having a gay son would "kill you" as a father. He gets away with it because everyone just thinks of him as an eccentric nutcase. Even the way the story is cited here, his show as so "crazy" that people walked out...not quite. A better word would be hateful, or at least offensive, but he's given a pass because he's Tracy Morgan, the loveable lunatic. As much as I myself love him on 30 Rock, "crazy" is simply not a valid excuse. #madonna

    @Bob Wiley: I was also at the show and did see one couple walk out but there certainly wasn't a mass exodus. I was very offended by his attack on homosexuality which was not in the least bit funny. It kind of ruined the whole show for me. I found the handicapped material kind of dated and generally unfunny. I love edgy, offensive comedy but it has to be FUNNY. This wasn't. That being said the biggest laugh he got all night was in defense of his mocking gays by saying, "If you can take a dick you can take a joke." Unfortunately, the jokes were in short supply. #madonna

    @bigapplemama: I also only saw one couple walk out. (Were you sitting in the nosebleeds like me?) For the most part it seemed to me that the anti-gay material was surprisingly well received by the audience. It was surpising not only considering the fact that it's NYC and very liberal, but also because, like you said, the material simply wasn't funny. #madonna

    @bitchyolympian: That was basically the thrust of his argument, so to speak. I feel like this is a much more common conception of lesbianism than many people will readily admit. I think it's important that we challenge these kinds of "jokes" from the Tracy Morgans of the world just as much as we would from the Rush Limbaughs, otherwise we're hypocrits ourselves. #madonna

    I used to intern at a certain magazine a few years back and I had to transcribe an interview with hot hottie Jason Lewis....he was surprisingly articulate, mannerly, and just seemed like a really nice guy...especially when he was asked about his relationship with Rosario Dawson, you could hear in his voice how much he cared about her...he is NOT like the typical Hollywood a-hole...made me swoon like whoa. #madonna
