Even with a lot of extra fat, those would not be tiny invisible biceps.

I thought Jez already knew about this.
*is embarrassed she didn't send in tip when she first heard about this months ago*

Good thing I do bicep curls with free weights.

I loathe this bitch. LOATHE. Take your sick, twisted ideas of "fitness" and shove them up your ass with your 3 lb. dumbbells.

@lonewolfer:
Wow, Gawker's gone soft.....both of these women get considerable attention, not to mention income, because of how they look, and they sure enjoy crowing about it in various magazines, blogs, etc. Since she's lost interest in winning Oscars, Gwyneth has made "health" (read: looking good) her stock-and-trade. And the Indianapolis article said that Anderson is as concerned with looking thin as she is with looking healthy. So yeah, I think these ladies have made their appearance fair game. If they had cured a disease or won a Pulitzer, I wouldn't comment on how they look because it would be irrelevant. I feel that indignation over what I said is comparable to the indignation one feels when the judges at a beauty pageant judge the contestants on their looks. How dare they!

It reminds me of those long expose stories Vanity Fair printed in the 80's: cut-throat tycoon has a great product and absolutely no scruples about how to expand the brand. Capitalism--it was ever thus.
I do feel like she's attracting an extra helping of hate because she's a woman. Or is it because "health" professionals are supposed to be purer than real estate moguls and newspaper magnates? It's all just business and frequently disgusting.

And I disagree. I think some of it could look like a pile-on because maybe you're reading different blogs and news outlets that are covering the same story. But I certainly don't see any evidence (so far) of a tremendous overkill, esp. one that's gender-based.

I think she's full of shit, and I really dislike her for pushing the "teeny tiny" ideal as the one and only way women are allowed to look. I take up space, I'm strong, and I like to MOVE. Deal, Ms. Anderson.

We have enough people and institutions in this world telling us the only sexy woman is a stupid, weak woman. I go after all of them, be it Hugh Hefner and his "bunnies," or Tracy Anderson and her three pound weights.
That said, not everyone cares about fitness. You read about her on FitSugar, and I read about her on Fit Bottomed Girls. Those are niche sites that most people never visit. I don't think it's fair to be critical of people for failing to miss this story.

I am hardly some super athlete, but I find that when I can push my body to achieve something I was doubtful at first of accomplishing, I am so excited and proud of myself that all my little body "flaws" suddenly don't seem so important anymore.

I love to work out, but I eat a lot and I never weigh myself.

That's pretty much me, too. Tracy Anderson would go bust (again!) if more people felt that way.

Although, I did feel extra good when I finally succeeded.

I agree with yours completely though.
