Look, this isn't normal adoption, this isn't a tv movie of the week where the "Problem Child" can be cured by love. And there are NO services for these kids, esp if they haven't been caught doing anything. Drugs don't help, no one except juvie can handle him, and then only until he's old enough and has been indicted. This kid will eat up their lives, their finances, their home, their marriage and others. I have a psych degree and I've worked with disturbed kids, i' know what I'm talking about.

You may think it was a nonsexual experience for you, and the guys might have claimed it to be. But guess what. Guys lie. Guys don't share their emotions. Guys don't show their feelings on their face or body language if they don't want to, b/c they've been socialized to hide that since they were toddlers.
Maybe if I didn't have a history of sexual abuse i wouldn't be this cynical about guys, but i do and this is how I feel about co-ed bathrooms. I think it's a threatening environment for girls and it's sexual harrasment when some RAs and floor meetings try to force reluctant girls to "just grow up" and go along with the co-ed bathroom policy.

On what planet are teenage boys "hard to reach" w/r/t advertising cheap, tasty, junk food?
I'm flying 2/3 across the country on Christmas Eve and THANK GOD that they passed that three hour law. I'm claustraphobic and an anxious mess on a plane without being imprisoned on it. I've read far too many Consumerist articles about plane imprisonment horror stories, I was starting to seriously dread my flight.

And yes, I do skip over their tweets, but just their mere presence irks me.

1) I'm really surprised so many commenters are anti-snowball fight. This is the most buttoned-up city EVER. Yes, it was hipster-initiated, but it was also the very definition of harmless fun. DC was completely shut down on Saturday. The fact that you could do anything except "avoid getting hit by a car" at 14th and U in the middle of the day is a testament to that.
2) One of the articles about the Auschwitz sign trots out the "6 million Jews and other people" line. There were more like 11 million people overall killed by the Holocaust - 6 million Jews (3 million of whom were Polish), nearly 3 million non-Jewish Poles, and several million other people, including hundreds of thousands of Roma, homosexuals, socialists, and anybody in Central Europe caught resisting. I do not, under any circumstances, want to discount the horrific effects of the Holocaust on the global Jewish population - but Poland lost 6 million people as well. I really hate when that gets discounted, as that's my family.
In conclusion, snowballs = good, Holocaust = bad for Poland, too.

Don't want a kid? Don't want to deal with the possible issues that come with a kid? Don't have one.
Kids aren't dolls. They can be crazy.
People are idiots.

The only time I've ever been naked in front of someone I wasn't biologically related to or having sex with was while backpacking in Thailand. I was traveling with an extremely liberal pro-naked kinda gal, and since it was hot as fuck and we weren't paying for rooms with AC, we'd walk around in the nude unless we had to go somewhere, so we didn't sweat up our clothes.
This, however, ended promptly when she opened the door to a male neighbor one night while I was face down, on the bed reading wearing nothing at all. I immediately started wearing clothes at all times and might still be traumatized.
