Swiftie Spent Eight Months Knitting Taylor Swift a Terrible Sweater

Latest

On Sunday, Taylor Swift shared a photo of herself in a terrible sweater. “Someone knitted this sweater for me of a Polaroid of myself and gave it to my mom tonight at the show. It has very quickly become my everything. Thank you, mysterious knitter,” Swift captioned the post. The “mysterious knitter” is, however, no longer mysterious.

The New York Post tracked down Jadda, 27, the world’s most dedicated Swiftie in Colorado where she recounted the toil and pain of eight month worth of knitting. The college student said that she “started the project last September after the release of Swift’s first single off her “1989” album, Shake It Off.” The Swift sweater “required ‘1000’s of stitches’ and was the first sweater she knitted in the ‘difficult af’ raglan style” the Post reports.

But don’t feel bad for Jadda. She says her months of hard labor and bloodied hands were worth seeing Swift in the sweater. She shared her unbridled enthusiasm on her Tumblr:

“Omg my hands are all clammy. What is this. I don’t even know. I can’t believe it either. Like I debated if I would give her the sweater and tonight it just felt right. So happy Taylor loves it!! Ahhh.”

For her eight months of commitment, Jadda earned a reblog from Swift’s Tumblr and a selfie with Andrea Swift. She will likely also earn the pleasure of having her hard work stolen by Forever 21, who will undoubtedly make a small fortune selling similar sweaters to Swifties—sincere and ironic alike—across the nation.
