Following in the footsteps of Kendrick Lamar and President Barack Obama, Steve Carell is the latest Person of Note to cover the Taylor Swift earworm "Shake It Off." And the haters gonna hate, etc., etc.
Sitting down with critic Peter Travers to talk about his new film "Foxcatcher," Carell was asked to sing the first song that came into his head and out popped the Taylor Swift hit.
"I love it," Carell said after performing the chorus. "I actually love Taylor Swift. I think she's great."
The appreciation apparently goes both ways:
Does Swift's friend entourage need a 52-year-old actor? Because it looks like everyone involved would be thrilled.
