Amid the avalanche of grim news on Friday about the continuing economic crisis, coming recession and related decision by Gawker Media head honcho Nick Denton to let go close to two dozen staffers at the company’s various blogs (we love you, Moe!) there was one bright spot: the announcement that, along with a few other Gawker Media properties, we would be adding staffers to our masthead. Three days later, I am thrilled to announce that longtime contributor Megan Carpentier and guest blogger Sadie Stein will be moving on up the masthead and taking on the titles of “Editor” and “Associate Editor”, respectively.
