Today in totally chilling news, police believe a rapist is targeting women in the Dallas area who are alumnae of Delta Sigma Theta sorority. In the past 11 months, four black women in their mid-50s to early 60s were raped in their homes at night, and they say their attacker knew personal information about them. An email alert was sent to member of the Dallas alumnae chapter, and police released surveillance video of the suspect. More »

At Washburn University in 1941, Bertie McConnell wanted to join Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, but before she could pledge World War II broke out and she dropped out to work in an ammunitions factory. Recently her daughter contacted the sorority hoping to get a card for McConnell's 90th birthday, but instead the sisters surprised her by inducting her as an honorary member. McConnell said she was overwhelmed by the students' generosity adding, "I finally made it." The sisters are about to get an even bigger surprise when McConnell shows up to the next keg party. More »

Matt Ivester, the creator of the gossip website JuicyCampus.com, spoke at Georgetown University on Tuesday night. The independent student paper GW Hatchet describes the auditorium, filled with students, as "tense." Ivester answered student questions for the first time; the student government would like the site banned from the school's network. But Ivester, whose site has posts with titles like "Biggest Whores" and "Sorority Sluts," tells the Washington Post: "I think they're going to have to start developing a sense of humor." More »
