With help from a lot of his old SNL pals, he delivered an evening of pure fun. I am obsessed with this video my friend Kevin found and sent to me of SNL writers goofing around in their offices late last week around 4:30am. It stars Taran Killam, a second-year member of the show's cast, donned in a white fur cropped hoodie thing and getting down to Robyn's "Call Your Girlfriend." (Between Killam's dead-on impressions on the show, his funny portrayal of an evil glee club teach on last week's Community, and knowing that he has a child with funnylady Cobie Smulders from How I Met Your Mother, my love for this man keeps growing and growing.) The clip also includes cameos from cast members Vanessa Bayer, Abby Elliott, and Bobby Moynihan as well as two writers (former CollegeHumor gal Sarah Schneider and Zach Kanin, who is impressively unfazed by the antics surrounding him). Emma Stone returned to Saturday Night Live last night for her second turn as host. Stone did her part, gamely committing to everything they gave her, but she just wasn't handed much to work with. It was an uneven episode, but the real standout was a sketch in which Stone, Nassim Pedrad, and Kristen Wiig play coworkers who know that listening to Adele's "Someone Like You" is the best way bring on a good cry. Last night's Saturday Night Live, hosted by Charlie Day, was a bit of mixed bag, but this giant, shiny gem of Kardashian-skewering is pretty terrific. In a promo for an imagined E! Kim's Fairytale Divorce special, we get a sneak peek into how Kim and Kris Humphries (played to cavemanic perfection by Andy Samberg) will undo their blessed union. It's spot on, with Kris Jenner constantly angling for attention and poor Bruce Jenner's frozen face! We even learn an important lesson from the Kardashian sisters about anal bleaching: buy two and the third one's free! It's enough to make you wish Kim's Fairytale Divorce was real. More »
