Security Guard Harasses Lesbians For (Supposedly) Violating Ten Commandments

Two women were accosted by a security guard at a recent Twins game, and told their behavior was immoral. Their crime: kissing.

According to CityPages, Taylor Campione and Kelsi Culpepper were sharing a “brief kiss” when the Target Field security guard approached them. He told Campione, “I saw you kissing that girl, you can’t do that,” and “we don’t play grab ass here.” He then explained, “here in the stadium, we adhere to the 10 Commandments.” A spokesman for the Twins says the guard has been punished:

That behavior just is unacceptable. That security guard has received both a verbal and written reprimand that will be put in his personnel file, and he understands that that is not an acceptable behavior.

However, he’s still working at the stadium, and Campione and Culpepper would like to see him fired. Says Culpepper, “I want a zero-tolerance harassment policy instituted at Target Field.” She and Campione are filing a discrimination complaint with the Minnesota Department of Human Rights. Whether or not they succeed, it’s worth noting that they weren’t actually violating the Ten Commandments in the first place. Any Twins fan who yells “God damn it,” however, is. Also, anybody who thinks a kiss between women constitutes “grab ass” might himself be a dumbass.
