Sacha Baron Cohen Pranks Celebrity Audience by Killing an Old Lady

Latest

Oh, that Sacha Baron Cohen! What a cut-up! Always putting on accents, wearing silly mustaches, pulling pranks and causing a ruckus! WHAT’LL THAT GUY DO NEXT???

Joke murder an old lady at an award show, I guess.

This past Saturday at the BAFTA Los Angeles Jaguar Britannia Awards (none of those words mean anything when strung together, by the way), the Borat comedian was presented with the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy by Salma Hayek (Fools Rush In, 1997) and a woman named Grace Cullington who was announced as the only living actor to have ever appeared in one of Charlie Chaplin’s silent films.

As a special gesture, Cullington passed on one of Chaplin’s signature canes to the honoree. Cohen then proceeded to imitate Chaplin, only to have the cane buckle under his weight, causing him to fall into Cullington and shove her wheelchair off the stage.

Of course, it turns out that “Grace Cullington” is actually a stunt person and that no person by that name ever actually worked with Chaplin.

“What a great way to go,” Cohen joked as he accepted his award. “Try and sue! She’s dead. Get over it.”

You might say the joke…killed?
