Robert Durst Eyed in 1997 Disappearance of Two Teen Girls

Latest

Alleged psycho killer Robert Durst (who is richer than God and bought his way out of prison twice before) was arrested on Saturday in a New Orleans hotel. Durst has been charged with the 2000 murder of his former spokeswoman, Susan Berman. Now, investigators may be looking into Durst as a possible suspect in the disappearance of two California teens in the late 1990’s.

Several news outlets are reporting that the disappearances of 18-year-old Kristen Modafferi and 16-year-old Karen Marie Mitchell may be tied to Durst.

Modafferi disappeared on June 23, 1997 after leaving work for the day at a coffee shop in a San Francisco mall, SF Gate reports. Durst reportedly owned a home in the city at the time — he reportedly owned as many as nine residences in the late 90s — and a2003 Galveston County Daily News article reports that an investigative journalist who wrote a book about the disappearance of Durst’s wife Kathleen believed Durst knew something about Modafferi.
Mitchell was last seen on Nov. 25, 1997 leaving her job in Eureka. Witnesses said she left in a blue sedan driven by a 60-70-year-old man with light gray or sandy blonde hair.

Durst is not officially a suspect in either case, but the police sketch of the suspect in Mitchell’s disappearance resembles Durst.

On WednesdayNBC revealed that at the time of his arrest Durst was up to his old antics (the ones we’re all familiar with because we all been watched The Jinx):

Robert Durst had a latex mask, a fake ID and $42,000 cash — mostly in $100 bills packed in small envelopes — in his room at the New Orleans hotel where he was arrested over the weekend, authorities revealed on Wednesday.
The disclosures came in an affidavit filed by Houston police on Tuesday — and made public Wednesday — as they sought a warrant to search Durst’s home there.

Look, it’s one thing to be an alleged murderous sociopath (life is fucked up and unfair, you know). But it’s an entirely other thing to be an alleged rich murderous sociopath who it appears has gamed the system like 3 times. Or more.

Taking bets on how quick dude about to be in these streets doing him again:
