Revealed: Madonna's Fashion Line And Lourdes's Blog

Madonna’s daughter Lourdes has started a fashion blog in promotion of Material Girl, the pair’s line for Macy’s.

And this much is certain: Lola has thoughts on footwear. She writes:

I’m still in love with brogues or as some people call them “oxford shoes”. I haven’t found a good sandal so I’m on like a search right now. OK but no joke gladiator sandals are OUT. They came out in summer 2008 and I was like, ok those are really cute. Then 2009 comes around and people are still wearing them so I’m like, ok whatever it’s just a phase. BUT NOOOOO. Because good old 2010 is now coming along and people are STILL wearing them, and then I was just like OK NO!

I don’t like critiquing other fashion blogs because they’re usually personal style diaries about what the writer likes and wears and there’s no point in saying someone’s taste is wrong, and in this case especially, my doing so would just make people compare us to one another. But I’ve no problem looking at the clothes:

I admit that there are pieces from the collection I sort of kind of really want, and that I may venture down to that perfume-stunken store and snake my way through a herd of moms trying to simultaneously recapture their youth and impose it upon their kids, just so I can get the right jacket to complete my Desperately Seeking Susan look.
