Rashida Jones Developing Ladyballs, a New Dramedy for the CW

The CW has handed out a script order for ~~Ladyballs~~ The Revengers, an hourlong dramedy from Rashida Jones and her older sister, Kidada Jones — you know, the former Sassy centerfolds.

From the Hollywood Reporter:

The project, which hails from Warner Bros. Television, where the Parks and Recreation star is under a two-year pod deal, revolves around two twenty-something estranged friends in search of love in New York who are reunited after learning that they’ve been dating the same guy. When their plot to humiliate the two-timer goes viral, they realize the “payback” business is a lucrative one and set up a clandestine business to continue bringing down the hand of justice for those who have been wronged.

The script will be penned by Prep School Confidential author Kara Taylor, and neither sister is currently slated to appear in the show.

This marks Rashida Jones’ second sale so far this development season with writing partner Will McCormack. The pair are also developing Stuck, a comedy with Parks and Recreation writer Alexandra Rushfield, which has a put-pilot commitment from Fox.

That’s a whole lotta ladies landing jobs, thanks to the Jones’ women. I feel this calls for a properly cheesy: SISTER POWER!
