Isabeli Fontana and Rohan Marley are planning a wedding in Ethiopia, where Rastafarianism — or at least Haile Selassie — was born. Yesterday morning, Linda Evangelista and François-Henri Pinault walked into a Manhattan family court practically arm-in-arm. There, their lawyers informed the court that the former couple had reached agreement on an 11th-hour settlement of their contentious child-support lawsuit. Evangelista, whose testimony began late Friday afternoon, would have taken the stand again on Monday to tell the court how Pinault encouraged her to get an abortion — something he denied through a spokesperson, but did not himself directly deny while under oath — and abruptly ended their relationship when she became pregnant. And she likely would have also testified about the DNA test Pinault's lawyers made her get before the billionaire luxury tycoon would acknowledge paternity of their now 5-year-old son, Augustin. And maybe about some other mean things Pinault might have done during the brief seven nights of their four-month affair (just like they told you in 9th grade, it only takes one!). The prospect of that and other damning testimony presumably helped Pinault to open his purse strings. The dollar amount of the settlement will likely not become public, but "sources" tell the New York Post that it is in the five figures per month. Evangelista had been seeking $46,000 per month. Condé Nast International, which is responsible for all 19 international editions of Vogue, released a statement this morning that's potentially pretty ground-breaking: from the June issues forward, no edition of Vogue will work with any model under the age of 16. This won't mean much of a change in the pages of American Vogue, which tends to work with slightly older, more established models, but for Vogue Paris, Vogue Japan, and particularly, Vogue Italia — regarded as prestigious launching pads for new face models, some of whom are as young as 13 or 14 — it is kind of a game-changer. Linda Evangelista's lawyers and François-Henri Pinault's lawyers will meet in a Manhattan family court room Thursday to do scary lawyer-things to one another. Then a judge will decide whether Evangelista's petition for child support for her and Pinault's 5-year-old son Augustin will be granted. Evangelista — who never publicly named Pinault as Augustin's father, until attempts to come to a private support agreement with Pinault came to naught — is seeking $46,000 a month in child support from the French luxury baron. Pinault has a personal fortune of $11.5 billion and is understood to lavishly support and contribute to a trust fund for the daughter he acknowledges, Valentina, but child support isn't tied to parental income — the custodial parent has to demonstrate what the child's needs are. Evangelista says Augustin needs $46,000 per month for a round-the-clock security detail, private school tuition, a driver, and nannies. That would be the most costly monthly child support judgment ever handed down in a New York family court — that record is currently held by P.Diddy, who pays the mother of his son $19,000 per month for the care of the child. Betsey Johnson has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Johnson's company was given a temporary reprieve from bankruptcy in 2010 by Steve Madden, the shoe maker and convicted felon, after it defaulted on a nearly $50 million loan. Madden's company paid the debt, taking as collateral all of Betsey Johnson's intellectual property, and began the process of restructuring the company and pumping out more licensed goods — but the restructuring didn't really take, and retail sales are down by more than 20% since 2007. As a result of the bankruptcy filing, about 350 people will lose their jobs, and the majority of the chain's 63 stores will be shuttered. Johnson, who got her start as a costume designer on Andy Warhol's films (and who was once married to John Cale), says that the company will reorganize and emerge from bankruptcy, she will remain the creative director, and that she will have a runway show in September. Things reached a nadir when the above image of Chung with her mother, which the ex-model/writer/T.V. presenter/fashion personage published yesterday, drew responses including "Your legs are too skinny now," "ur ugly," "You're [sic] legs look unhealthy," "Ew, she's so skinny it's gross," and "Skinny. Horrid," and more. (Just as worryingly, more than a few users commented that they were jealous of Chung — for being skinny.) She appears to still be using her public Twitter — which counts some 778,000 followers — but she has also received nasty comments there. On Instagram, Chung actually joined her own comment thread, writing, "Hi, I am here. I can read. Ok everyone thanks for the teen angst discussions. People are different sizes. I'm not trying to be thinspo for anyone. I am now making this acct private. Byyyyyeeee." The company has big plans for expansion: it says Madewell's retail square footage, which grew up 50% from 2010-2011, will jump by another 30% this year, and the pace of store openings will increase. J.Crew is also sending Madewell off to college — literally. This summer, a big Madewell-branded Airstream trailer will be winding its way across the U.S., hitting college towns like Lawrence, Kansas, to spread the word about the brand among women aged 20-35. H&M's capsule collection of evening wear made from sustainable fabrics hits stores today. Amanda Seyfried, Viola Davis, and Michelle Williams have already been wearing pieces from the collection on the red carpet. Dresses made of organic cotton and hemp and recycled polyester will retail for around $60-$300, which is a good deal pricier than H&M's usual wares. The collection is seen as H&M testing the waters for the new chain of more expensive stores it wants to start, which it recently announced would be named "& Other Stores." [Fashionista] More »

Jane Aldridge is making no apologies for claiming that Texas Monthly journalist Jason Sheeler "blatantly made up" quotes and facts in his profile of the 20-year-old blogger. The woman behind Sea of Shoes says magnanimously, "I'm not angry with him. He wrote the story he thought people wanted to hear. I'm afraid he knew the story he wanted to write before I even opened my mouth." Sheeler spent over a month with Aldridge and her parents to report the story, and the magazine says all of the Aldridges participated in fact-checking and had numerous opportunities to check quotes attributed them and other facts in the story; Jane Aldridge also appeared on TV alongside Sheeler to promote the profile when it was first published. Famously androgynous male model Andrej Pejic has gotten himself in trouble on the Twitter. First, he Tweeted, "Take me to Westchester." When a follower — the stylist/accessory designer Rembrandt Duran — responded, "But you went without me," Pejic wrote back, "Found a real white nigga."
