Pornhub Is Now Offering a $25K College Scholarship

To celebrate the launch of Pornhub Cares, the brand-new philanthropic branch of one of the world’s largest pornography websites, a $25,000 scholarship will be given to one very blessed college student. In the past, Pornhub’s goodwill efforts had only focused on cancer research and environmental charities. This would be their first foray into education.

To apply, students must be 18 years old, have a GPA of 3.2 or higher in college and submit official transcripts, the Washington Post reports. They will also have to film a short video and submit an essay answering one peculiar riddle: “How do you strive to make others happy?” The contest is open to all fields of study, “whether you are studying medicine, botany, paranormal psychology, or anything in between,” according to the scholarship page.

“We’re always looking at different ways we can give back and we thought helping someone to go to college would be a great way,” Pornhub’s vice president, Corey Price, said in an interview with the Washington Post. “Part of our inspiration is that we’ve seen a lot of people have a hard time getting money to go to college. We want to make it easier for one person who shares the same mission of spreading happiness.”

Price also said that applicants who submit sex videos “will not be seriously considered.” Nudity, however, will not be a disqualifying factor. The contest closes on October 31.
