"This photo is legendary in my family for being the WORST SCHOOL PHOTO EVER TAKEN. My mom still teases me about it, even though she is the one who gave me bad teeth and eye genes, made me wear that outfit, and styled my hair into a horrible mullet. This and 8th grade were my pinnacles of awkwardness, and the photos really show it.

To be fair, I really liked the outfit at the time, and had another similar suspender shorts / button-up shirt combo with 23 pockets in primary colors. I thought it was almost as fun as school. Ok, so I was a big nerd. Some things don't change, but at least I look more presentable now.
