"This is me, Traci Joy, 5th grade, taken in Nashua, New Hampshire. My mom made my whole outfit - she sewed most of my clothes throughout elementary school. Those heart earrings were my absolute favorite, but they turned green by 6th grade. The bow in my hair was my idea. I felt like I looked too much like a boy with my short hair, so I always put a ribbon Barrett in it. (my hair is also courtesy of my mother who is a hairdresser and who I still haven't forgiven for some of the perms, uneven 80's cuts and big bangs).
I guess when I got to Jr. High I was more interested in wearing Benetton or Esprit - how very 80's!

Anyway, the picture is ripped in half because I went through a stage of hating all of my school pictures, but I taped them back together eventually."
