I'm tradin' my Jezebel bookmark for Gawker now. Thanks for dropping the knowledge on us. See you over there.
@muppetprincess: Discerning McCain's "actual position and intention" is easy. All you have to know is: What state is he in? If he's in New Hampshire, he is PRO-CHOICE. If he's in Florida, he's SAVING-THE-BABIES.

As alarming as his "Florida intentions" are, I find his ability to radically alter his stance (complete with moral indignation!) even more upsetting.

Seems to me that if you're out there exercising and taking care of yourself, anyone judging your attire should just go to hell. Skirt, no skirt.

What's with the judging, ladies?

I love all the movie reviews coming from people who haven't actually seen it. Ladies, I expected better from you. @Topsyjane: I don't think you have the slightest idea what you're talking about. Thanks for playing, though.
Am I the only Law & Order fan here? Ripped from the headlines! This story, and the assumption that it was an honor killing, is ripped from the tv show.

@paperpusher -- "fluency" is an extremely relative term. Knowing the proper words and knowing how to work the system are two entirely different things, and shouldn't be confused.

@ArmCandy: ease up, meowdy meow. You're not the only princess here. The poster's point--that Moe and SM are not friends of hers (his?) and they can do what they want--is legitimate. Why are we demanding that these women to be our role models? I hardly think this is what they signed up for. Oh, the indignation!
First, it seems like there was a whole lotta drinking, and not much thinking. That's not an excuse, but it could be a reason. Second, I still think Moe's political commentary is top-notch, and I hope she continues to unabashedly bring it.

Finally, I stopped reading HuffPo a while ago because I found their journalistic editing "style" sensationalistic and at times disingenuous. So dust off ladies, and get back to work.

His misunderstanding and misapplication of both copyright and defamation law--not to mention Ayn Rand's philosophies--are just darling. Also, I call comma abuse.

I want more from this guy. I really, really hope he finds a lawyer willing to build the legal case on this. More hilarity will ensue!

@SomnambulantHobbit: [who wrote: Laura Ponte needs a tailor.]: No girl, what Laura Ponte needs is a sandwich.
Wait, hold on. "..people are more willing to give money to animal organizations because they PERCEIVE animals as blameless"? Is that what she writes? They ARE blameless. This is a cheap attempt to manipulate our emotions, and I'm not falling for this crap.
Eh, his behavior isn't particularly shocking. It should be, but I'm jaded. I do, however, love this woman's letter. Especially her reference to Tawnya as the 'mother" of his child and her desire to fill up the last tiny bit of white space with a redundant "P.S." message.
Working Subtitle:

"What I think about what you think about what I think and how I have suffered from caring about what you think."

Hasn't she gotten enough mileage out of this already?

Moe! Brilliantly executed, my friend. Right to the brutal finish. Some of you here need to toughen up--geez.
She seems completely out of her depth. This is going to be a fun 5 months.
"I look forward to being friends with you in heaven." Sounds like a threat to me. Eek.
Steve Austin! What I wouldn't have given to be Jamie Sommers, even with that whole awful ringing in her bionic ear.
drunky drunk drunk drunk drunkity drunk.
Rose shouldn't have to put up with that shit.
I'm normally a big fan of the piling-on here at CEFAD, but this time, I'm not convinced. Maybe this dude is a weasel, maybe he isn't. But Laura seems like kind of a twat. Just sayin'.
You could hate her for opinions, but I prefer to belittle her for ripping off someone else's ideas. This isn't exactly original, people.
