Thanks for the comment, it's great to know I didn't piss off the entire Jezebel population. It's true that so many people jumped at my opinion without hearing the whole of it, no matter how many times I tried to explain it. I think ultimately that condescending attitude you mention, of assigning a character of complete helplessness to the poor, does them more harm than good. That doesn't mean I don't acknowledge social factors or that I want babies to die (*snort* at that one).

Either way, thanks for stopping by to write something!
