@UnicornZiva: Basically, if your comments suggest that natural medicine is utter bull shit, you're good. But if you feel that the post was poorly constructed and you disagree, you're a killjoy who doesn't get the joke.
@Susan B.: Agreed. But I would like to congratulate Helen on her discovery regarding the falsehood surrounding the entirety of natural medicine. Since she's tried fish oil, once, she's clearly an expert in the field.
@JPGorgon: Did you just pull a statistic from your ass, trying to disprove something because it lacks concrete evidence? Nice.
@JPGorgon: Actually, Helen is an idiot.
@la.donna.pietra: Actually there are over 100 chemical substances that have been derived from plants for use as drugs and medicines. Though many have been synthesized for increased potency, etc. it is still possible to utilize the original plant. But according to this piece, that would make you an asshole.
@UnicornZiva: I'm with you on this. This was just a cantankerous piece that served to only promote the "all or nothing" approach to health.
This was piece read like it was written by a fourth grader. I'm a massage therapist and implement natural medicine into my practice. Guess what? A huge amount of the medicine people take today was originally derived from plants and other "natural" resources. I have a suggestion. When the people you run into at parties begin to talk about herbalism and "chakras," go find a corner and cry about it all by yourself.
God forbid girls entertain themselves without the the boy's approval. They better go teach them a lesson.
Holy shit. And not in a good way.
Almost all of my underwear is black. This is mostly because I do not like period stains.
The Riot Grrl revolution is not dead. At least not in Olympia or Seattle, Washington.
@BWPhotoChick: I take the parent's side on this case. Since when does pro-choice have strings attatched?
Damn. I'm a massage therapist.
@shugerkooky: I don't have television and I haven't watched the clips. I was just responding to the title of the post. That may or may not have been a good idea.
@sunoftheskye: Exactly. That's why we should just ignore this dichotomy, and act according to our own free will. If certain men don’t like it, they don’t have to consort with us.
This makes me want to delete all of my real name accounts.
They can, they just need to stop worrying about it and do it. Who cares what other people think? If more women did what they wanted to, it would be easier to force a paradigm shift.
I understand your point and while I feel it’s a valid one, I have to disagree. It’s true that the situation may have been avoided had the men known her better, but her actions were quite unusual. I doubt that those who are involved in a relationship, however brief, are expecting to have the details of their personal experiences recorded for statistical analysis. Furthermore, it’s quite easy for someone to conceal their true motives for lengthy periods of time if they desired. Her actions were wrong and I know that if I had been taken advantage of in this way, I would be completely shocked.
@Registered: My thoughts exactly. Most HR coordinators google people these days. This is not something I would want my name to be associated with.
