Those pictures are beautiful and so very sweet. I'm just gonna go "AWWWWWWWWWW" all day now. Proper words are lost to me.
But Buffy/Angel is also hooked into my life ages 13-17, so it's probably not a surprise that I'm so attached to it. :)
Alright. That's enough. Out of the country. OUT.
But if you can't see what's so horrifying about shipping incest, I'm not sure what to tell you. It's wrong. Really, really, really wrong. And, as I said, it subverts the actual real and deep relationship of these guys as brothers. That is integral to the show and part of why Wincest is so annoying to me as an outsider -- besides the wrongness of incest -- is that the people who are deeply involved in it seem to sort of cast aside the reality of their familial relationship as its woven into the show in order to shape it to their fantasies. And that's a disservice to the writers, who are laying out characters intentionally. I don't have a problem with reinterpreting canon for your shipper needs, but it bothers me in this case and all other cases of shipping incest.
Generally speaking, I am a MASSIVE Joss Wheadon fan (I love BtVS, Firefly, Dollhouse, Dr. Horrible, ALL OF IT) and I really enjoy the way he writes women, relationships, and romance, but Buffy/Spike went in a direction that really fizzled for me.
There are plenty of show I don't have ships for, because characters and writing don't permit, and I deal with that by... watching the show for what it is and going along with the lack of romance. Hence the whole point of my first comment in this post -- the writing and the show dictates my ships as opposed to me making up ships for every show I watch, not some compulsion to put fictional characters into relationships.
As for September and Peter... I just worry. I worry that September only kept him in the timeline at all (as he was clearly supposed to be completely erased) because he remembers and is sentimental about the blue universe and the loves and relationships (Peter/Olivia, Peter and Walter, Walter and Olivia, Astrid and Walter [in such a different way], Broyles and Peter... all of them) that have now been lost, and that the rest of the Observers will force his hand and we'll lose Peter forever. And Lincoln Lee is awesome, but he's not enough to make up for that.
Excuse me, I'm going to sort through my Fringe tag on tumblr and feel all the feelings.
Ahem. Sorry. I will have the supersadz if the blue universe is no more. I know it's almost absurd to wish for the universe(s) with the most death and pain and danger but but but but but but but...
