OH MY GOD! That child is so beautiful she looks like a doll but that PICTURE WITH JAY-Z!!! LOOK AT DADDY!! DADDY'S SO HAPPY!!

Those pictures are beautiful and so very sweet. I'm just gonna go "AWWWWWWWWWW" all day now. Proper words are lost to me.

I dunno. I shipped Buffy/Spike a whole lot more when it was all UST. And I wish that Spike never got a redemptive arc, even as I enjoyed it. Sometimes evil should just stay evil. And he's funnier when he's evil.

But Buffy/Angel is also hooked into my life ages 13-17, so it's probably not a surprise that I'm so attached to it. :)

I do too, and I think that's intentional. Well, except Fauxlivia. She's doubly obnoxious in the Amberverse.
You know, I totally forget Olivia's subplot between episodes. I watched the beginning of last week's episode and briefly thought something weird was happening in which Peter was/had time traveling/ed because I totally forgot that Oliva's is being drugged. Which is weird because I really, really love Olivia. I feel a little frustrated this season, though I understand the purpose of it, because I've really fallen deeply in love with the core characters as we've gotten to know them over the last three years, and that set of characters disappeared. As much as I love Lincoln Lee (and I do), I want my old team back.
There was a gentle ladies' agreement, if you will, that no one was going to go to the press about this. ... "Planned Parenthood is a gigantic bully, using Komen as its own personal punching bag."

Alright. That's enough. Out of the country. OUT.

There's Not My Kink, and then there are the sub-fandoms devoted purely to Wincest. Now, I don't go to Wincest sites and knock 'em. They were brought up in conversation here and so I gave my honest (and, frankly, respectful no matter what you think of my opinion that fans are twisting the relationship of brothers to, yes, their perverse will) opinion. But I don't interfere with the people who are participating in that subfandom. I simply judge from afar and steer clear of it.

But if you can't see what's so horrifying about shipping incest, I'm not sure what to tell you. It's wrong. Really, really, really wrong. And, as I said, it subverts the actual real and deep relationship of these guys as brothers. That is integral to the show and part of why Wincest is so annoying to me as an outsider -- besides the wrongness of incest -- is that the people who are deeply involved in it seem to sort of cast aside the reality of their familial relationship as its woven into the show in order to shape it to their fantasies. And that's a disservice to the writers, who are laying out characters intentionally. I don't have a problem with reinterpreting canon for your shipper needs, but it bothers me in this case and all other cases of shipping incest.

As long as no one asks for my Doctor/Rose, we're good. ;)
Oh, see, I think it's kind of perfection. Because (should I spoiler alert this? I hope not) we now know that Robin can't have children and that's sad but it also makes them, as a couple, make so much sense. They'd be the awesomest forever -- awesome couple, awesome friends, awesome aunts/uncles. I love it.
Oh gurl. It's so OTP it hurts.
I actually stopped liking Spike once he and Buffy got into that "relationship." (And that's funny, cuz I liked where it was going in seasons 5 and some of 6, when they still sort of hated each other.) I really, really loved their dynamic in the first four seasons as enemies and then a reluctant team. (Neutered!Spike was awesome.) But part of what made the romance with Angel so heartbreaking and enthralling was the stakes of a Slayer falling in love with a vampire, with or without soul. So when they just slid Spike into his spot, it removed both a lot of the tension from the Buffy/Angel arcs (and oohhhhhhh do I ship it), but it also took away a lot of tension and gravitas from what was happening between Buffy and Spike in their own right.

Generally speaking, I am a MASSIVE Joss Wheadon fan (I love BtVS, Firefly, Dollhouse, Dr. Horrible, ALL OF IT) and I really enjoy the way he writes women, relationships, and romance, but Buffy/Spike went in a direction that really fizzled for me.

I dunno, it might just be me but a dearth of romantic interests does not justify shipping incest. The actors are super hot and probably would look awesome if they made out, but they are brothers. I'm not sure where the disconnect comes in that allows for Wincest. Plus, it then causes fans to gloss over the really important relationship they have as brothers, as family, in favor of bending it and twisting it to their perverse will.

There are plenty of show I don't have ships for, because characters and writing don't permit, and I deal with that by... watching the show for what it is and going along with the lack of romance. Hence the whole point of my first comment in this post -- the writing and the show dictates my ships as opposed to me making up ships for every show I watch, not some compulsion to put fictional characters into relationships.

Hmm. I dunno I feel like at about this point every season there's lots of stuff about how it's about to get canceled, how the ratings aren't good enough, how it's too expensive, etc. and then it gets renewed anyway. So. Fingers really, really, really, really crossed.

As for September and Peter... I just worry. I worry that September only kept him in the timeline at all (as he was clearly supposed to be completely erased) because he remembers and is sentimental about the blue universe and the loves and relationships (Peter/Olivia, Peter and Walter, Walter and Olivia, Astrid and Walter [in such a different way], Broyles and Peter... all of them) that have now been lost, and that the rest of the Observers will force his hand and we'll lose Peter forever. And Lincoln Lee is awesome, but he's not enough to make up for that.

Excuse me, I'm going to sort through my Fringe tag on tumblr and feel all the feelings.

Pfft! I ain't retired! I am still heavily invested, even if I also need to yell at these noobs to get off m'damn lawn.
Let's be Old On The Internet together, please.
I think I ship Sawyer/Fish Biscuits more than anything or anyone else on that show.
NOOOOOOOOO IT CAN'T BE OVERRRRRRRRRRR I LOVE ITTTTTTTTTT.

Ahem. Sorry. I will have the supersadz if the blue universe is no more. I know it's almost absurd to wish for the universe(s) with the most death and pain and danger but but but but but but but...

I don't think the Kids These Days understand how to label themselves when they don't ship something. I haven't seen "noromo" since I stopped frequenting X-Files boards at the turn of the century.
Are you as nervous as I am that he's not going to be able to, that the Orange Universe is really permanent and they have to erase him from time completely? Because beyond just wanting him to get back to Olivia, I don't know what to do or think or feel if Peter isn't going to be one of the main characters anymore. Especially since I'm not ready for Fringe to end any time soon.
I'm there with ya, I guess. (Or maybe it's not a proper ship for me; maybe it's just a longing to have them be together on screen all the time, even as mentor and mentee, because the actors are so fucking good together.)
One of the commenters down thread said something about not really thinking it was the longing that counts, and all I could think of was these two.
