I know, right? Cute commercial, but don't the dogs you experiment on deserve the best, too? :shudder:
"The more I learn about people the more I love dogs."
Not sure where that quote is from but it's the damn truth.
If you want to spend hours upon hours gazing upon multi-species lovings (I'm talking turtles cuddling with puppies), check out Rocky Ridge Refuge ([www.facebook.com]) and maybe throw a couple bucks their way!
And why are abortions performed in the developing world?
Channel 4 would never let this happen.

Those were her words! :so confuuuuused:
Second, have women so internalized feminist dogma that they see themselves in only two ways?

Um, it's YOU PEOPLE who only see women in two ways.

Also, how does one carry oneself with confidence AND modesty (you know, in the traditional sense of the word and not exclusively in the women's clothing sense)?

Eek that's nervewracking. As an adoption coordinator and sometimes-foster, I can tell you that a lot of rescue people are very curt and absent-minded when dealing with people (this includes other rescue people). It bothers me because I tend to be very quick in responding to people and give folks lots of information and getting answers from rescue people can be like pulling teeth. Do you mind if I ask which rescue this is? Just in case I'm familiar with it. Good luck to you and don't get discouraged. #Groupthink
No, no, women just need to get better at applying makeup.
Well they also had a better chance of being "til death do us part" when the woman half needed the financial security to survive.
oh my god. Do you get this report in the form of an email or a card or something? #Groupthink
So, I just watched the YouTube video of her doing the Dougie and then I read the comments for like 30 minutes and now I want to kill myself.
People can say the most disrespectful, derogatory, hurtful things about women in the military (while unintentionally putting male soldiers down too) and never be considered anti-American or unpatriotic. Ain't it funny how that works.
Of course you are making sense. The people who make this argument are pissing on our shoes and telling us its raining.
Except you can't make a comparison between oppressed groups and men as a group. You said a vast majority of men would step up and protect women. But they don't. So I'm not sure whether you're just quibbling with me because "man-hating" bothers you and SOMEONE'S gotta stand up for the men or what.
Well I'm pretty man-hatey. If a vast majority of men would step up and protect women then no place on earth should have problems with the rape/abuse of women and girls. The claim that men are just *biologically* compelled to protect women and abandon their missions has no basis in fact whatsoever.
How is it possible that the myth that "men protect women" has stayed alive? Could anything be further from the truth? Unless sexual assault and harassment is being classified as a form of protection or something?
